CPAPNY.COM was established in October of 2001. When we formed our goal was to provide the highest quality care and products to a community that was in need. We originally set forth with a goal to fill a niche in a market that we saw lacking…providing CPAP (Continuous Positive Airway Pressure) and BiPAP therapy to patients suffering from OSA (Obstructive Sleep Apnea) who did not have a DME (Durable Medical Equipment) rider on their health insurance policy, or no insurance policy at all.
With persons having to pay premium dollars for masks, nasal interfaces, flow generators, filters and other products to continue their PAP (positive airway pressure) therapy, many could not afford to treat their ailment. While we here at Island Wide are not a non-for-profit charitable organization, our profit is not so exorbitant as many other homecare providers. We have always felt we could make a living without taking the living away from our clients. Another staple of our company has been the professionalism in which we provide service. We have a firm belief that knowledgeable personnel are a key element in the healthcare field.
Licensed and credentialed Respiratory Therapists are essential in this business. Without proper pt. education, compliance with treatment dramatically declines. If we were to sell products and the buyer were not properly informed of the correct way to handle that equipment, it is our belief that in the long run the cost would outweigh what we could save by hiring non-qualified personnel. Since our beginnings we have been slowly growing our business and expanding our reach to help people not only locally. but nationally.

And we plan to do so in an economically viable way so as to pass the savings on to the consumer.
